What is AOV?

AOV systems control ventilation of smoke in the event of a fire?

AOV ventilation systems are designed to clear poisonous and deadly smoke and heat from a building, while simultaneously herding it safely away from evacuation routes and communal areas.

When a smoke detector or manual call point is activated, it triggers the ventilation system AOV (windows, roof vents, louvres, and dampers) to open or close to control the ventilation of smoke during a fire, whilst supporting safe evacuation for building occupants.
